Capsule Max | Mini DLP Projector for Home

This is a nice bit of kit - a very neat, small package that produces a good image and sound and works straight out of the box. It is not very bright, but not bad in a semi-dark room and perfect in a dark room. We bought this primarily for use in our campervan, where it will work very well after dark or with the shades down. The one point to be careful of is the software and compatibility issues. The version of Android it runs is very stripped-back; not all apps are available. The projector does not have Google Play by default (apparently you can install this by updating firmware and getting a beta version from Nebula support). And you need to take care that it can play the DRM-protected content you want to watch. Do not assume you can plug this into a laptop with a standard HDMi cable or mirror the screen and run copyrighted content. We struggled to figure out how to run Apple TV content, for example, and Nebula Support (who, to give them some credit, responded very fast) actually informed us this wasn't possible. It is, but only if using an Apple Lightnting-to-HDMi cable connected to an iPad. I think the key is that everything in the connection chain has to be "HDCP" compliant. This experience and the lack of clarity in product info and support (which also suggests a risk that the solution may not be future-proof) is why this is only a 4* rather than 5* review. That said, if you're clear what you want to do and can inform yourself about it or are prepared to test everything and return the projector, I'd give this a go (just keep the packaging, just in case!).

I bought the Capsule Max as a camping treat. It’s been great for evening entertainment. Coupled with a Bluetooth splitter for two pairs of headphones, so we don’t annoy our neighbours and get amazing sound. Picture projected onto the curtain inside the tent gives a 40” screen and a crystal clear image.

Excellent bit of kit, very handy, easy to use and good quality.

I bought this device to use in the campervan whilst wild camping. Its lived up to my expectations, but the only downside is you can't charge it with a battery pack, so once the battery is flat its back to the book !

Great picture and sound 👍 Only comments are some additional instructions would be helpful and ability to change the size of the picture rather than move the projector.
